Incheon Airport To Hongdae: Train, Bus & Taxi (2026)

Landing at Incheon and heading to Hongdae? Here’s every way to get there: the AREX airport train, the airport limousine bus and taxis, with fares and times from the operators themselves (checked October 2026).

I usually take the AREX Express into Seoul, but it doesn’t stop at Hongik Univ., so for Hongdae the All-Stop train is the one to take.

By Train: AREX

All-Stop Train

The AREX All-Stop train goes straight to Hongik Univ. Station: ₩4,650 from Terminal 1 (about 52 minutes) and ₩5,250 from Terminal 2 (about 59 minutes). Fares are for a transport card such as T-money. A single-use ticket costs ₩100 more, plus a ₩500 deposit that you get back at your arrival station (AREX fares).

The first All-Stop train leaves Terminal 2 at 05:08 and Terminal 1 at 05:14. The last one that runs all the way to Seoul Station, via Hongik Univ., leaves Terminal 2 at 23:32 and Terminal 1 at 23:38. A later train (23:50 from Terminal 2, 23:56 from Terminal 1) only goes as far as Digital Media City. Times are the same on weekdays and holidays (AREX’s timetable).

Express Train

The AREX Express doesn’t stop at Hongik Univ. Station: it runs non-stop between the airport and Seoul Station (AREX Express). For Hongdae, the All-Stop train is the one you want.
